Super Dolly Out
A very fast travel backward that covers a lot of ground.

What it is for
The camera rips backward and the scale of the shot changes in seconds. A face becomes a building, a building becomes a city, and the speed is what makes the change land.
It is an exit as much as a reveal. The audience is taken out of a moment quickly, which suits an ending or a hard change of subject.
How it works
The same backward travel as a dolly out, at several times the speed and over a much longer distance. On a set that means a cable cam, a camera car or a drone rather than a dolly on track.
Scale has to change for the move to be worth it. Plan what the frame holds at the start, halfway and at the end, so the retreat passes through recognisable stages.
Fast movement blurs the near planes, and that blur is what tells the eye how much ground was covered.
When to use it
Use it to end a sequence with force, and to jump from one scale to another without a cut.
Do not use it on a quiet beat. The move is loud and it will bury whatever the scene was doing.
Told apart from its neighbours
An aerial pullback starts in the air and stays there, so the move is a change of altitude and the ground never leaves the bottom of the frame.
A super dolly out can start anywhere, including inside a room, and its subject is the change of scale rather than the height. If the shot begins on a face, it is a super dolly out.
The prompt
Replace the blanks, keep the rest. Then run it on a video model.
very fast dolly out from <subject>, camera travels backward at speed, strong parallax through the pull
What goes wrong
The model gives you a fast zoom out, which shrinks the picture and reveals nothing the first frame did not contain. Ask for strong parallax through the pull and name what comes into view partway.
The second failure is a retreat that never resolves. Give the end frame a subject, so the move lands on a picture rather than on an empty wide.
Leave out
zoom, slow pull
Watch for
Ask for parallax. Without it the model gives you a crash zoom.
