LSD: The room warps and trails as perception comes apart.

What it is for

The room stops holding still. Walls breathe, colour smears behind anything that moves, and edges pull away from the things they belong to.

It puts the viewer inside somebody's perception instead of in front of it, which is why the distortion belongs to the space and never to the person standing in it.

How it works

The distortion runs continuously. Surfaces swell and contract slowly, straight lines bow, and the scale of the room changes while nothing in it actually moves.

Colour trails behind movement, so a hand leaves a smear of its own hue across several frames. Saturation runs high and the hues separate along every edge.

Keep the face stable. Warping a face reads as body horror, which is a different genre altogether, and the entry warns about exactly this.

When to use it

Use it for a perception sequence, a music piece, or the moment a character loses their footing inside a scene.

Skip it where anything has to be read. Text, geography and faces all stop working underneath it.

Told apart from its neighbours

Acid is an edge effect. Saturated rainbow fringing crawls around every outline and the geometry is left completely alone.

Ask whether the room moves. Colour separation on a stable frame is Acid. A space that bends and breathes is LSD.

The prompt

Replace the blanks, keep the rest. Then run it on a video model.

<subject> in a room that warps and trails, walls breathing, colour smearing behind movement, perception coming apart

Run it

What goes wrong

The model distorts the face, because a warp instruction lands on whatever is most prominent in the frame. Say the room warps and the face stays stable.

The second failure is a clean stable frame with a colour filter over it. Ask for walls breathing and colour smearing behind movement.

Leave out

stable geometry, clean motion

Watch for

Warp the room, not the face. Facial distortion reads as body horror instead.

Questions

It is a room that warps and trails: walls breathing, straight lines bowing, and colour smearing behind every movement, while the person in the middle stays anatomically normal.
