Should there be glue tabs?

Only if you want it to read as buildable rather than as built. Real paper craft shows tabs; a render often leaves them out and gains cleanliness at the cost of some credibility.

What it is for

Faceting a form is what paper forces on you, and doing it in a renderer keeps the charm of that limit while allowing shapes a real sheet could not hold. It reads as craft with none of the labour.

How it works

Every curve becomes a run of flat facets with a crease between them. Faces carry a fine paper fibre texture and the exposed cut edge is lighter than the printed face. Light rakes across so each facet takes a different value, and large panels bow very slightly under their own weight.

When to use it

Use it for craft, ingenuity and anything that should look made from a flat sheet. Avoid it for organic subjects at close range, where facets read as damage.

Paper Craft is the real thing, with glue tabs, a white card core and a real camera. Low Poly has no material at all. Voxel is locked to cubes rather than free facets.
