What inputs does Lipsync 2 Pro need?

Two files. A source video of a person, as MP4 or MOV, of at most thirty seconds. An audio track with the speech you want the mouth to follow. The face should be clearly visible, well lit, and in focus for the cleanest result. Clean single-speaker audio with little background noise gives the sharpest mouth shapes. Everything in the frame other than the mouth is left untouched.

What happens when the audio and the video are different lengths?

The Length mismatch setting decides. Loop replays the video from the start until the audio ends. Bounce plays the video forward and then backward, so there is no hard cut back to the first frame. Cut off trims the longer file down to the shorter one. Silence adds quiet to the end of the audio so the video plays out in full. Remap changes the speed of the video so it matches the audio exactly and keeps every frame. Loop is the default. Pick Remap when you must keep all of both files.

What does the Expressiveness setting do?

It sets how far the mouth may move, on a scale from 0 to 1. The default of 0.5 suits most speech. Lower it towards 0.3 for a calm read, a news anchor, or a corporate video, where a restrained mouth looks more natural. Raise it towards 0.8 for singing, shouting, comedy, or an animated character, where a bigger mouth shape reads better. Change one setting at a time so you can see what it did.

Yes. Turn Detect speaker on and the model finds the person who is speaking and syncs only that mouth. The other faces in the shot are left alone. Thirty seconds. Visual Sandbox measures the clip before the run starts and refuses a longer one, so you are never charged for a file that was going to fail. Trim the source to the exact line you need before you upload. For a longer piece, cut it into passages of thirty seconds or less, run each one, and join the results in your editor. The output is the same length as the source.

Yes, you can use the result commercially. You are responsible for the likeness. This model puts new words in a real person's mouth, so you must hold the right to use that person's face and that person's voice before you run it. Get written permission from anybody who appears in the source video, and from the owner of the voice in the audio. Do not make somebody appear to say something they did not say. Sync's terms and the Visual Sandbox terms both place that duty on you, and we remove content that breaks it.
