Modern phone video. Wide, deep, clean, and processed inside the camera.

What it is for
A phone is the camera almost everybody carries, so footage from one reads as real. It is the format of a message rather than of a production.
The processing is the signature. The phone lifts the shadows, holds the highlights and smooths the noise before anybody sees the frame, and that even, slightly plastic look is what marks it.
How it works
The sensor is small and the lens is short, so depth of field is enormous. A background is sharp unless the phone fakes the blur in software.
Several frames are merged for every picture. The camera stacks exposures to hold a window and a face together, which is why a phone shot never has a truly dark corner.
Sharpening and noise reduction run hard. Fine texture such as hair and fabric turns to a smooth wash, and edges carry a faint halo.
When to use it
Use it for social video, for a character filming something themselves, for a vertical frame, and for any scene that has to feel like now.
Skip it when the shot needs separation or scale. A phone flattens the space it records.
Told apart from its neighbours
A DV camcorder is also deep and wide, but it is standard definition, 4:3 and harsh. A phone is sharp, clean and usually vertical.
An action camera goes wider still and distorts the edges of the frame. The test is straight lines near the edge: bent is an action camera.
On film
Sean Baker shot Tangerine (2015) on iPhone 5s bodies with an anamorphic adapter, and Steven Soderbergh shot Unsane (2018) on an iPhone 7 Plus. Both used the size of the camera to get into places a crew could not.

The prompt
Replace the blanks, keep the rest. Then run it on a video model.
<subject> shot on a phone camera, wide lens, everything in focus, bright even exposure, heavy noise reduction and sharpening, vertical frame
What goes wrong
The model adds a soft background, which a phone lens cannot produce. Ban shallow depth of field and say everything is in focus.
The other failure is film grain over phone footage. Ask for noise reduction and sharpening instead, because a phone removes grain rather than adding it.
Leave out
shallow depth of field, film grain, cinema lens
Watch for
The tell is processing, not resolution. Ask for the smoothing and the lifted shadows.
